We'd toyed with switching the characters from Fox/Owl to Jaguar/Bat but ultimately decided to stick with the same animals. These, designs, however are reused for some wall relief/artwork.

Early Ava design. Suffered from the shallow design process of the LaunchPad application so we decided a redo was in order here as well.

Ava Design [Mend]

Ava is the VR player in the asymmetrical VR project, Mend. She is scaled up larger than Cana who runs around using a keyboard/controller.

Same deal with this design as Cana in that the first iteration was rushed and so had to be revisited later. We wanted it to mesh more with Maya culture and overall more fun than the original. Letting go of the original round mask I was able to stumble upon one that was influenced by Maya owl dancers and the mask itself reminiscent of a VR headset in volume/shape.
